Delete Your OrderChaw Account
You can permanently delete your OrderChaw account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)
- Open the OrderChaw app and sign in.
- Tap the menu, then Settings.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation carefully, then confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
Email support@orderchaw.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete my account".
We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will email you to confirm when it is done.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Wallet balance rules
| Your wallet balance | What happens |

| Under ₦1,000 | The remaining balance is forfeited when you delete your account. |
| ₦1,000 or more | Deletion is blocked. Spend the balance down below ₦1,000 first, or contact support. |
Active orders
If you have any order in progress, deletion is blocked until that order is completed or cancelled. This protects both you and the restaurant or rider fulfilling your order.
What is deleted
All of the following are permanently removed:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your profile photo
- Your saved delivery addresses and location data
- Your order history
- Your in-app chat messages
- Your push notification tokens and device identifiers
What is retained, and why
For financial record-keeping and to meet our legal obligations, we retain only:
- Your user ID
- Your email address
- Your final wallet balance at the time of deletion
Nothing else is kept. This minimal record exists solely so that financial transactions can be reconciled and audited, and it is not used for marketing, profiling or any other purpose.
Payment records
Transaction records held by Paystack, our payment processor, are subject to Paystack's own retention obligations as a licensed financial institution and to Nigerian financial regulation. These are outside OrderChaw's control and are retained independently of your OrderChaw account.
